Spa Treatment Manager

Spa Treatment Manager is responsible for the organisation, coordination, monitoring and maintaining of their shift to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the Spa facilities for Guests. To ensure Therapists are consistently performing treatments to an exceptional service level.

This position will be expected to report directly to the Spa Director with regular feedback on new or outstanding matters. To maintain team motivation and morale through a rigorous recruitment process of especially skilled staff and through a structured training system. To assist and support the Spa Director in promoting teamwork together with a professional, friendly, and positive working environment.

Responsibilities

• It is part of your role and your responsibility to fully support all learning and development activities.
  • On The Job trainers and trainings.
• To conduct departmental orientation for all new team members.
• To liaise with the Learning and Development Manager on departmental training needs.
• Support and adhere to all policies & procedures relating to Safe, Sound and Sustainable at Mandarin Oriental.
• Act as a hotel ambassador at all times.
• Dealing with Spa & Wellness guests and clients.
• Responsible for increasing retail sales, upsell of treatments and all administration related to this.
• Conduct regular refresher trainings for all spa therapists in line with SOP’s and Departmental learning checklists.
• Coordinate therapist treatments to accommodate guests who may have contra-indications and ensure therapists are confident to adapt treatments accordingly.
• Update therapists daily/weekly/monthly responsibilities and ensure that they are being carried out and checked correctly
• Ensure all treatment licences and qualifications and contracts are valid, up to date and copies are on file.

Requirements

• Have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a luxury 5* Spa or Fitness and Wellness environment at Supervisor or Assistant Manager level.
• To feel confident communicating within Management meetings.
• Computer literate and the ability to learn new software with ease.
• Excellent communication skills in all aspects
• To be smart and well presented.
• To be passionate about delivering the very best spa, fitness and wellness experience for guests
• Must possess excellent organisational, administrative and interpersonal skills
• Approachable, open-minded and fair.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule and holidays.
• Have the ability to handle multiple tasks using time and task management skills.
• Qualifications in face and body therapy – fully licensed
• Additional languages would be beneficial.
