Quinta Jardins do Lago

Quinta Jardins do Lago is a small luxury hotel with a botanical garden on the island of Madeira.

We are very well located on one of the green hills that surround the city of Funchal and very close to its historic center.

This beautiful and historic farm was built in the 18th century. More recently it was the residence of well-known French and English families. During the Napoleonic Wars, General Bersford, Commander of the English forces that occupied the island, chose this Quinta as his official residence. Its magnificent “sideboard” sideboard, one of the souvenirs of your stay at this Quinta, continues to adorn our dining room.
