Sales Manager

Leads and manages activities related to the sales functions with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of property sales objectives.

Within the local market, the Sales Manager will focus on the segments as follow: Corporate, MICE & Groups and Leisure. The Sales Manager will be able to enhance the visibility – to do it, he/she will implement all the sales activities under the supervision of the Sales Director.

Responsibilities

• Driving Sales Opportunities to Maximize Revenue/Business (Events/Groups – Indiv bookings)

• Identifies, qualifies and solicits new group businesses to achieve personal revenue goals, while maintaining brand integrity.

• Participates in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business.

• Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).

• Develops and manages relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external by building successful relationships.

• Works collaboratively with on and off-property sales channels to ensure the property needs are being achieved and the sales efforts are complementary, not duplicative.

• Attends customer events, trade shows and sales missions to maintain, build or develop key relationships with GSO managers and customers.

• Internal coordination between departments.

Qualifications

• University/College degree in economics preferably in tourism and hospitality, or marketing
• Min. 3 years professional experience in sales, preferably in 4-5* Hotels
• Fluent written and oral language skills in English and Hungarian
• Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends required, (existing connection with local partners is an advantage)
• Hands on attitude
• Hotel Opera system knowledge is an advantage
